Kalwaria Zebrzydowska Revisited – a tradition you can experience
Very soon, the Passion and Marian Shrine will be exploring new ways of telling the story that has been its strength for centuries. As part of the project, there will be unique cultural and educational events that will allow visitors to experience history with all their senses – in a modern and engaging way.
Imagine the scent of freshly baked bread and Zembrzyce bugle buns, made according to old recipes. Craft workshops where you can make traditional toys or weave a basket with your own hands. Gatherings that bring generations together and breathe new life into dying trades.
Added to this are ecological workshops inspired by Franciscan spirituality – teaching mindfulness of nature, how to make use of its gifts, and how to live in harmony with the environment. These will be complemented by concerts and exhibitions that will showcase Kalwaria’s heritage in a new light.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027 (FEnIKS) programme.
