Kalwaria is open to everyone
Kalwaria Zebrzydowska is opening up even further—creating a space where truly everyone can feel at ease.
The new project brings tangible changes: easier access to buildings, the removal of architectural barriers, accessible restrooms, and solutions designed to support the blind, the deaf, and those with sensory sensitivities. Features will include Braille signage, audio guides, sign language translations, and quiet spaces for those in need of peace and quiet.
The way visitors explore the site is also changing—it will be more flexible, calmer, and tailored to individual needs. Importantly, these solutions were developed in collaboration with the people who use them every day.
This is a step toward a truly open space—one where everyone can enter without barriers—and stay for longer.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and Environment 2021–2027 (FEnIKS) program.
