Handover of the construction site and documentation to the contractors

On 21 May 2026, a meeting was held between the Beneficiary — the Bernardine Monastery in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska — and representatives of the companies participating in the implementation of the project entitled “New tourist attractions at the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – a UNESCO World Heritage Site”.

The meeting was attended by representatives of:

• Inveni P.S.A. – responsible for consultancy services regarding the implementation of investment projects,
• Creoproject Sp. z o.o. – acting as project supervisor,
• DES Henryk Dowgier Anna Dowgier Spółka komandytowa — the contractor for construction works covering eight chapels and the Bugaj 3 building,
• KKZ Sp. z o.o. — the contractor for conservation works in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels.

During the meeting, the construction site and the construction and conservation documentation were handed over to the contractors responsible for carrying out the individual scopes of work.

This is an important organisational phase preceding the start of the main investment and conservation works. The project includes, amongst other things, the conservation renovation of eight chapels along the Path of Our Lady, conservation work in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Angels, and the conversion and conservation renovation of the Bugaj 3 building, which will be transformed into the ‘Bread Cottage’ — an information and education centre for visitors to the Sanctuary.

The project “New tourist attractions at the Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska – a UNESCO World Heritage Site” is co-financed by the European Union under Measure FENX.07.01 Cultural and Cultural Tourism Infrastructure, European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment Programme 2021–2027.
